Update From Stacey!
Did you miss me? I am sure you were wondering how I managed to do this. The simple answer is I fell on top of a yellow parking bump that I didn’t see. (splat!) It was indeed painful and I am grateful that the damage done to my body wasn’t worse than it is. These are the first broken bones I’ve ever had in my entire life. I had to have surgery. All of this is new to me and a big learning curve. I’ll be wearing a splint for quite a while. My intention was to learn to do art with my right hand as I am left-handed and of course that’s the wrist that’s broken. I found that I can paint with my right hand. However, my left hand (the one with the shattered wrist ) gets very tense when I do it for short periods of time and that causes a lot of pain. Therefore I am looking at other creative endeavors such as writing a novel. This is something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time and I have a fun idea that I am exploring. (think mystery) I’ve started researching it. I am learning to type with a microphone. That’s how I am writing this email/post. InspirationEven when you’re down and out and partially handicapped, creativity is possible and actually needed. Creativity is needed in all areas of our life to make it better and what we desire. Ask yourself: where can you be more creative and how might it help you? INSPIRING MOVIE I recently watched Boys in The Boat.
